Repartee is rampant throughout Oscar Wilde’s, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, but we can also find it in in close friendships or a connection with the same humor or mindset. There is an adrenaline rush that comes from within when wit enters a conversation. It fuels the mind and forces a smirk on any face. This type of conversation or communication is lighthearted, meant to embrace the simple parts of life and social interaction. We need to wit and sass to break up the parts of communicating that feel heavy or monotone. We need the short bursts of energy, sequins of pizzazz to recognize that not all of life is serious. When banter arrives, lean in.
