“Balance & Compromise”, Oil on paper, 4″ x 6″, February 27, 2018
Although I created this painting almost two months ago, I have been thinking about the day it was made. It wasn’t a ‘special’ day my any means, the usual 9-5 at my day job and than coming home and painting or whatever else happens to be on my to do list.
I kept thinking about balance when I was painting “Balance & Compromise”. The painting began on opposite sides. I had two wildly different colors opposing each other and I was trying to make sense of them both on the same small piece of paper. I allowed them and attempted to make them co-exist.
